        Considerable work has been done on the Citrus Classification by various taxonomists in different parts of the world, notably in the United States of America and Japan and brief review of the same with reference to Indian Citrus and Assam Citrus in particular, is probably necessary to explain the basis of the nomenclature as adopted in this treatise.
        This book of "Citrus Classification" has been written to meet the requirement of students, teachers and researchers in the field of agriculture.
       The book has been divided into five chapters. Chapter one deals to introduction, chapters two and three related to subgenus, eucitrus and papeda. Chapters four and fifth deals with new species and probable hybrids respectively.
        It is hoped that this book prove quite useful to the student, teachers and researchers involved in the study of citrus.
